Description

From Imogen Reid, author of Sheer Spite Press’ Accept Yourself Or Die: From Mormon Missonary to Trans Punk, a collection of nine beautiful, deeply felt mini-zines on grief.

The zines explore her history with loss, from losing her mother as a teenager to losing friends to overdose and suicide as an adult. They both tell and show how grief feels from the inside: vivid, harsh, and consuming.

Combining writing with illustration and collage, these zines evoke the work of artists like David Wojnarowicz who mobilize grief as a political tool, while never losing sight of how it feels on a deeply personal level.

Nine 4″ x 2″ eight-page mini-zines, two-colour risograph printed in Montreal by No Gloss. Downloadable version available here.
