Why do some mental illnesses merit sympathy while others function more like a garbage can for us to put people we don’t like? It can be hard to find writing about BPD (borderline personality disorder) that doesn’t uncritically buy into the stigma around this diagnosis.
In this zine, Imogen Reid, author of Accept Yourself or Die: From Mormon Missionary to Trans Punk, Nine Zines on Grief, and What the Fuck is Fentanyl? writes about receiving a BPD diagnosis, what BPD feels like, the relationship between BPD and complex trauma, and the things she loves about people with BPD, while still being candid about how deeply painful and difficult it is to live with BPD.
Half-letter, black and white, 32 pages with illustrations by the author.
You’ll receive 2 PDF files: one set up to print, one set up to read on screen. The zine is also available in print.
