I embroidered it at the library makerspace, bought the fabric and thread from a very cute quilting store in my neighbourhood, the fringe from a ribbon store I’m obsessed with, and got fringe colour consultation help from two wise artist friends. I sewed it all together while my wonderful roommate was driving us to Toronto to table at a craft fair. It takes a village!
Call for submissions: an anthology of fantasies, any genre!
Inspired by my zine Five Friendship Fantasies, which was so fun to write, I am inviting anyone to share a fantasy on any topic, whether it’s realistic or fantastical, chaste or otherwise! What would it be like to talk to bugs? What meal would you serve your favourite historical figure? What would your dream neighbourhood be like? What would it be like to break into Roswell and kiss all the aliens? I don’t know, you tell me! Deadline March 31!
